Welcome to the latest edition of STEM from Scratch’s monthly newsletter! We’re thrilled to announce our relaunch, led by passionate high school students from Ontario. Our mission is to foster interest and participation in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) for young learners by offering a platform for exploration and enlightenment.
#### What to Anticipate from STEM from Scratch?
Our aim is to simplify STEM fields and make them accessible to everyone. By closing the gap between students and STEM opportunities, we hope to:
– Enhance awareness through monthly newsletters featuring diverse STEM topics.
– Provide workshops and activities that align with students’ interests across various STEM disciplines.
– Supply resources that augment knowledge and assist students in uncovering their desired STEM pathway.
#### Our Programs
To bring these goals to fruition, we’re organizing a variety of activities, including:
– **Workshops and Events**: Focused coding and math workshops aimed at young students, primarily in elementary schools, to nurture an early passion for STEM.
– **Hackathons and Competitions**: We are hosting hackathons centered on computer science and math competitions to challenge and motivate students.
– **Interactive Workshops**: Captivating sessions on topics such as health sciences that provide hands-on learning opportunities.
Our activities extend beyond our local community, reaching readers everywhere to ensure STEM learning opportunities are accessible to all. These initiatives are set to deliver enriching experiences and avenues to follow passions in STEM fields.
