STEM Opportunities Offered in June

Queen’s University – Science Summer 2025

Program Synopsis:
This complimentary, online program will take place from July until mid-August 2025. It features 12 afternoon sessions that investigate subjects in physics, chemistry, and technology. The sessions are conducted by undergraduate students and researchers associated with the McDonald Institute and the Carbon to Metal Coating Institute. Participants will partake in practical activities and explore specialized themes such as dark matter and nanomedicine.

  • Cost: Complimentary
  • Intended Participants: A limited group of middle and high school students, including those graduating in 2025. The majority of the sessions will be online; however, students located in Kingston, Ontario might have the possibility to participate in person.
  • Application Details: Applications officially closed on May 21, 2025, but submissions for waitlisted positions are still being accepted. The program is projected to carry on in 2026.
