Welcome back to the monthly newsletter of STEM from Scratch! It has been some time since our last encounter. In case you haven’t heard, STEM from Scratch is a non-profit organization that has recently undergone a relaunch. The reins of leadership have been handed over to enthusiastic high school students in Ontario who are dedicated to STEM and aim to connect with others through monthly newsletters about STEM-related subjects and fascinating scientific and mathematical themes.

**What can you look forward to from STEM from Scratch?**

STEM is a swiftly evolving and dynamic domain, and our team’s primary objective is to enhance accessibility to entry and engagement for everyone through this organization. Our strategy is to raise awareness of the various opportunities, workshops, and activities that delve into different facets of STEM for students. In doing so, we aspire to assist students in discovering hands-on experiences in their chosen fields and nurturing their enthusiasm for science and technology through engaging activities. We also intend to offer resources across the different domains of STEM to broaden our readers’ understanding while aiding them in pinpointing which particular STEM topics resonate most with them.

**So, what will this look like in practice?**

Excellent question! We have a lot planned for you. One initiative we are set to launch involves organizing events, like coding and/or math workshops, specifically aimed at younger students in elementary school and within our team’s local vicinity. We are currently on the lookout for exciting opportunities such as hackathons for computer science, math competitions, and interactive workshops centered around topics like health sciences. We will ensure that these events are accessible not only in our team’s immediate area but also wherever our readers may be located! We believe that these experiences will provide a fantastic way to engage with STEM and follow your passions.
