**Welcome Back to STEM from Scratch!**
Welcome back to the monthly newsletter of STEM from Scratch! It’s been some time since our last gathering. In case you missed it, STEM from Scratch is a non-profit organization that has recently been revitalized. The leadership has transitioned to enthusiastic high school students in Ontario who are eager about STEM and intend to connect with others through monthly newsletters covering STEM-related themes and fascinating scientific and mathematical topics.
**What Should You Anticipate from STEM from Scratch?**
STEM is a swiftly evolving and dynamic field, and our team’s primary objective is to enhance accessibility for everyone engaged through this organization. Our strategy is to boost awareness of opportunities, workshops, and activities that explore various facets of STEM with students. Through this approach, we aim to assist students in uncovering hands-on experiences in their desired fields and igniting their passion for science and technology with interactive activities. We also plan to supply resources for the diverse areas of STEM to enrich our readers’ understanding while aiding them in pinpointing which specific STEM topics resonate most with them.
**What Will This Specifically Entail?**
Excellent question! We have a variety of plans for you. One initiative we aim to launch is hosting events, such as coding and/or math workshops primarily aimed at younger students in elementary school and within our team’s local vicinity. We are currently on the lookout for hackathons focused on computer science, math competitions, and interactive workshops covering subjects like health sciences. We will also ensure that these opportunities extend beyond our team’s immediate area, reaching wherever our readers may be! We believe these experiences will serve as fantastic avenues to engage in STEM and follow your interests.
Thank you for being part of this journey to make STEM accessible and thrilling! Keep an eye out for more updates in our upcoming newsletters.
